Professor P. Stephan Heyns is the RAMMS coordinator and Research Competence Leader for Mechanical Engineering. He supervises work across the programme, with particular emphasis on hybrid modelling, digital twins, condition monitoring and asset integrity.
His role helps connect individual student studies into a coherent programme roadmap from rock–machine interaction through to actionable equipment insight.
